Aly Raisman

Alexandra Rose Raisman, born May 25 1994 born on May 25, 1994, is an American retired gymnast who was an artistic. She has also been twice an Olympian. She was captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams. Both took home their respective team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she was awarded gold medals in floor and team events, and also the bronze medal for the balance beam, making her the most recognized American gymnast at the Games. She was awarded a gold team medal during the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans who have won back-to-back gold medals in this competition. Raisman took home silver medals for the individual all-around and floor exercise. She is the third-most accomplished American gymnast in Olympic history, just behind Shannon Miller and Simone Biles and has won six Olympic medals.Raisman was also part of the gold-winning American teams in the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the world bronze medalist for floor exercise in 2011. She also is a two-time national champion on floor exercise (2012 and 2015) as well as the 2012 national champion on the balance beam, and five times medalist in the all-around event at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2010, 2011, 2012 and also in 2015). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
